This series is a work in progress.
It emerges from the lifeline we are familiar with from heart monitors, and it is interwoven into the paintings as a signifier of the force of life on the one hand, and its fragility on the other.
The artist traces the delicate line connecting physical heartbeats with emotional ones and captures them through subtle, suggestive movement. The paintings are based on dance compositions the artist photographed during rehearsals in a dance studio, and she paints them in a way that connects the media and builds a bridge between them.
